Skynet Robotics Needs Your Old Toys, Gadgets and Electronics
We are participating in the McLoughlin Neighborhood sale the weekend of August 11th as a fundraiser and outreach event.
We need your donations please!  Our theme is Electronics, Toys, Gadgets and Tools.  No household items or clothing please.
Donation ideas:
Video Games
DVD Movies
Electronics – dvd players, calculators, digital cameras, etc
Gadgets of all kinds
Tools – power tools, hand tools, etc
Science toys, kits – microscopes, rockets, electronics kits
Legos or other building kits
RC Toys or other “cool” toys
Kids powered vehicles
You can drop off your donations at the school at 12th and Jackson, (entrance on Jackson) the following times:
(Check in at the office for instructions)
8/4 – Friday during the campus clean up work party, 8:30-12:00 in the courtyard
8/7 thru 8/9 – 8:30-3:30
We would appreciate all donations arriving by Tuesday, 8/8.  We will be working on preparing the items for sale during our robotics meeting, 10:00 and 4:00.

Important CAIS Dates for 2017-18

Hello CAIS Families,

Here are the important dates to know as we move into summer and prepare for next fall.

The CAIS School Office is open tomorrow, June 30, from 8:00-12:00.  After tomorrow, the office will be closed until Tuesday, August 1, 2017.

During August, the office will be open Monday-Thursday from 8:30-3:30.  The office is closed on Fridays during August.

Registration dates for the 2017-18 school are Tuesday, August 29 and Thursday, August 31.  Registration both days will be from 3:00-7:00 PM.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS (included CCC Students).  School pictures and photo ID cards will be taken during registration.

NEW STUDENTS begin school on Monday, September 11.  School begins at 7:35 AM and dismisses at 2:45 PM.

Returning students begin school on Tuesday, September 12.

CCC Expanded Option students will have a REQUIRED meeting on Friday, September 15 at 2:00 PM in the lower lecture hall.  This meeting is just for students.  There will be an evening parent meeting the following week.

CCC Fall Term begins on Monday, September 25.  CCC Expanded Option students should check with CCC for orientation dates and information.

If you are interested in joining the robotics team, or just curious what it’s all about, open summer workshops are being held on the following dates.  Now’s the time to check it out:

Example Schedule:
10-12:00 – shop machine/tools training session 1 or project
12:00-1:00 – lunch break and team building time
1:00 – 3:00 – shop machine/tools training session 2 or project
3:00-4:00 – programming training or business/marketing workshop
Robot drive time practice will be worked in throughout the day!

Annual Senior Staff BBQ Awards and Game!

Please join us this Friday, June 9th for our annual school BBQ and Senior vs. Staff game in the courtyard at CAIS!

Schedule is as follows:

5:30-6:30 BBQ

6:30-7:00 Student Awards

7:00-8:00 Game

Graduation Information Night!


Wednesday, April 19 @ 6:00 PM in the CAIS Cafeteria.  

This meeting is important for all of the parents of junior and senior students.  

Junior class parents have responsibilities for the graduation reception and senior class parents need to attend to get important information about graduation.  

Students are not required, but welcome to attend.
