Chad Summers – BOARD
Chad Summers is a former teacher, a former CEO, and an advisor to manufacturing businesses. Today Chad continues to work with business owners and executives providing comprehensive planning and support to ensure business growth and the retirement they desire. He joined the CAIS board in 2016 to contribute to building a skilled workforce for local manufacturers. He is also currently vice-chair of Young Entrepreneurs Business Week (YEBW), a growing summer business camp for teenagers teaching financial literacy and educating future business leaders. Additionally, he co-founded a Manufacturing Affinity Group (MAG) made up of professionals dedicated to serving the manufacturing sector founded in 2014 that continues to meet monthly. Chad was accepted in to the exclusive Business Leadership Program at the University of Puget Sound where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in business with an emphasis in international business. He then went on to Portland State University and obtained a teaching license for social studies through the Graduate Teacher Education Program. Chad and his wife have a young daughter and son and live in West Linn.
