Gregory Hart – BOARD
During his last 6 years he was a program coordinator for the workforce of the future, strengthening Boeing’s High School Tech prep and College Interns programs. Having entered the Boeing workforce at 19, with a clear understanding of the knowledge and skills he needed, Greg realized that a degree would not help him with the opportunities that were available to him. He chose to attend college when needed, to gain the skills to prepare for the next challenge. He has earned Professional Development certificates from Portland State University. Greg was an advisory board member on the Columbia-Willamette Workforce Collaborative, a partnership that delivers a unified approach to serve industry, support of economic development and a guide for public workforce investments in the Portland-Vancouver Metropolitan Area. Greg has been board member of Clackamas Academy of Industrial Science for the last five years. He believes in CAIS because he has seen firsthand the shortage of prepared talent in the workforce of the future. After engaging with hundreds of Portland Metro area High School students, it became apparent that the students in the metro area were still being told that a four year degree is needed to become successful. CAIS has a clear message and goal, to prepare their students to be college, or industry ready. CAIS has had one student graduate from the Boeing Tech Prep and two students are currently involved in this three year program. For the last 4 years Greg has been the Mechanical mentor for the CAIS’ Robotics Team. Greg lives in Boring, Oregon with his wife, Carol. They have a Grandson who is a senior at CAIS.
