REGISTRATION

All registration paperwork for each school year will be completed online.
If your student has not previously attending CAIS, the first step is to complete our Intent to Enroll form. Each student must have an Intent to Enroll form submitted before any other forms can be processed.

• CAIS typically has open, rolling enrollment throughout the school year. We accept and process applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. The sooner you apply, the greater your chances of being accepted. This is because, as a charter school, CAIS is subject to state-mandated enrollment caps per grade level.

• Through February and March, CAIS begins accepting applications for the upcoming school year. Applications are accepted through the last week of March, and it is at this time that a lottery determination is made. If a lottery is deemed necessary due to enrollment caps, this is held on Apr. 1. Families are notified of their acceptance/waitlist status the following week.

• If you do not enroll by the cutoff date in late March, this does not mean you cannot apply. It simply raises the chances you will be accepted. As CAIS nears state-mandated enrollment caps in each grade, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible in order to "reserve" (not guarantee) a spot.

• Families accepted through the lottery process are not guaranteed their spot. You must complete the required registration forms by a given date, or your reserved spot will be forfeited to the next family on the waitlist.

• Note: there is no preference given to families entering the enrollment/lottery process. The only exception is if your family already as an actively enrolled student at CAIS and you are looking to enroll a sibling. Each student is required to fill out an individual Intent to Enroll form to be considered for acceptance.

To complete registration at CAIS,  please sign and submit the required registration forms (below) for the school year you are enrolling. Please download these forms, sign, and attach in an email addressed to TalkToCAIS@orecity.k12.or.us
Once we receive your application, we will be in touch to follow up regarding next steps. We still have some spots available in some grades for this year.
