HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS

MANUFACTURING PROGRAM

CAIS originally opened its doors as Oregon City School District's "Pre-Manufacturing and Industrial Trade School," envisioning a campus and curriculum that would set up its student body to be the innovative workforce of tomorrow. In preparation for this, they opened up the "Maker Space," a place for student to practice their skills in woodworking, welding, steel production, and construction using industry-standard technology.

Paired with instruction from professionals in the trade and in partnership with Clackamas Community College, CAIS set a foundation for student looking to enter the major industrial sect of Portland's economy and thrived.

MEDIA & COMMUNICATIONS PROGRAM

Digital filmmaking, audio and video production, as well as digital design, graphics and motionography remain our key focus, as from concept to script to the stages of production, students develop and engage with material to create and craft professional quality programming.

In addition to hands-on education, students will discover the concepts and influences behind what shapes and drives the media industry. Through partnerships with local studios and professional guest lectures, students are exposed to insights into the expectations and realities of a career in the field of media and communications.

ENGINEERING PROGRAM

The Engineering Program focuses on introducing students to the fundamentals of engineering and robotics, providing them with a strong foundation in both fields.
